| PrintSure workflow manager is the easiest there is - no scripting, no programming, all web based. PrintSure workflows are made up of independently managed components. This provides a reduced overhead in administering the system, cutting down production costs and increasing throughput.
The workflows comprise of either a) the folder on the network where the files should be delivered to – in the case of upload workflows or b) both – the folder and the pre-flight check profile – in the case of pre-flight check workflows. Additional parameters such as which users to notify about submission of files to a workflow, where to place files which have passed the pre-flight check, and where problem files should go, which external scripts to execute when a file is uploaded, can be specified for a workflow. The workflow editor is flexible quick and simple – all profiles and forms are defined separately, so editing a profile is a case of choosing which ones to use and where to place the files. By separating profiles, job detail forms and workflows into separate entities, workflow and general administration is extremely efficient, since there is no unnecessary duplication of data. Workflows can also execute an external script at the end of the processing, so that the PrintSure workflow can act as a front-end for an existing workflow system, for example Xinet FullPress™, DALiM Twist™, Artwork Systems Odystar™ and many other. Read more about external script execution. The workflow editor also provides the mechanism for specifying which users will be able to submit files to the workflow, and which users will be notified via email when files are submitted to the workflow. |
