16.10.2007Adstream expands print offering with DevZeroG acquisition.
Two leaders in media supply chain management and web-to-print solutions join forces.
London, 16 October 2007 – Adstream, the world’s leading provider of creation, management and delivery solutions for the broadcast and print industries has bolstered its foothold in the commercial print market and accelerated its successful international growth strategy with the acquisition of DevZeroG, the leading developer of innovative web-to-print and job-submission solutions.
The enlarged company will operate under the Adstream banner with former DevZeroG CEO Michael Dewhirst taking up the newly created position of Head of Product Strategy. Leveraging DevZeroG’s extensive worldwide network of distributors and its strong development team in Kiev, the merger will deliver faster work processes and a greater level of skill as well as better workflow and print management solutions for Adstream’s clients.
Adstream UK now plans to merge and integrate all the existing components from both companies’ technology portfolios into a single, modular platform and bring to market, as quickly as possible, a unified advertising delivery and management platform.
To be revealed in 2008, the new offering will deliver the next generation of validation, delivery, process automation, asset management and many other components. The companies will also deliver solutions to the new and emerging markets such as online, mobile, IPTV, Web2Print and many more.
Gerard Barron, CEO of Adstream Holdings Limited said: "This acquisition is a key strategic step for Adstream, enabling us to expand our product offering, development team and geographical reach. We have long been admirers of Michael's company and we believe this is a unique opportunity to move into the commercial print market and expand our reach into the supply chain. Adstream has been preparing a new platform which will bring significant value to publishers and their supply chain. DevZeroG's wide distribution network and solid development resource in Kiev are key to that strategy."
Michael Dewhirst, Former DevZeroG CEO said: "Whilst in a specific part of our market we viewed Adstream as a competitor, after several discussions we realised it was the ideal partner to successfully implement our vision of Connected Media Production. This deal enables us to continue our strong growth as part of a larger multi-media group and enhance further our customer service levels."
Adstream's vision is to be the premier provider of technology solutions to the advertising industry, through seamless validation, intelligent workflow and interconnectivity across broadcast, print and online media. Adstream is the world's first global media exchange seamlessly connecting brand owners and agencies with media providers.
